FOREIGN TRADE OF ARMENIA: INTERNATIONAL AND EURASIAN DIRECTIONS

The article analyzes the international and Eurasian directions of Republic Ar- menia’s foreign trade that is caused by Armenia’s membership in Economic Union since January 1, 2015. main indicators characterizing coun- try’s integration into world economy are openness economy, export import quotas. dynamics these for 2002-2022 demonstrates a rather high degree involvement Armenian economy. characteristics goods presence stable negative balance trade, which reached its maximum 2022 (-3.4 billion USD), as well large share raw materials exports (38%). In gen- eral, year became very important Armenia terms significant in- crease volume flows (by 169%). Among 2021-2022 there were Russia, China, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Netherlands Iraq. suppliers to market 2021- Iran, Italy, Germany. commodity structure Armenia, 66% four groups: "mineral products" (19%), "precious semi-precious stones, precious met- als articles thereof" (18%), "ready-made foodstuffs" (16%), "machinery, equipment mechanisms" (13%). EEU countries has always been significant: at average, pe- riod it accounted 24% 28% imports, values 2022: 47% total 31% imports. ge- ographical composition to/from characterized concentration: 95-97% went from/to Russian Federation, 3-4% – Belarus, 1-1.5% Kazakhstan, less than 1% Kyrgyzstan.
